Philadelphia has a strong chance to contend for a Super Bowl the following year.
Right now, there is still a good amount of exceptional talent available in free agency.
While a number of the best free agents have already signed, many players are still searching for their next chance. Star running back Saquon Barkley and former New York Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton are just two of the intriguing signings the Philadelphia Eagles have already made. However, more could be on the way.
In addition, the Eagles added some fascinating players in the 2024 NFL Draft, and their defense should already be much better. Gilberto Manzano of Sports Illustrated says that Philadelphia still has some gaps to fill, and the safety position is one area that may use some attention.
Fortunately for Philadelphia, there are several choices available to help. Quandre Diggs, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, is one guy who may make a strong case.
Diggs is a nine-year veteran who has played for both the Detroit Lions and the Seattle Seahawks. Last season, the free safety made 95 total stops for the Seahawks, including one interception and five passes defended.
He’s only 31 years old and shouldn’t cost much, but if the Eagles decide to make a move, he might have a significant influence.
Philadelphia is in a good position to challenge for the Super Bowl next season, but it wouldn’t hurt to strengthen the defense a bit more. Diggs would undoubtedly make a lot of sense for the Eagles in free agency.
