Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has maintained a discreet stance regarding the club’s interest in Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford, following a purported meeting between the club and his representatives on Tuesday. In December, Rashford publicly expressed his intention to pursue a new chapter away from Manchester United.
Since that time, he has not been afforded any playing time with Ruben Amorim’s squad, and a departure seems to be the most probable course of action for the winger. MEN Sport reports that Rashford has declined overtures from both Saudi Arabia and Turkey. His aspiration is to transfer to a club that could advance his career, which explains his inclination towards a move to Barcelona.
Reports emerged on Tuesday evening indicating that Rashford’s entourage convened with representatives from Barcelona in Lisbon prior to the club’s Champions League match against Benfica. It has been asserted that although FC Barcelona would be inclined to consider a transfer for Marcus Rashford, they would necessitate adjustments to their wage structure to accommodate his remuneration.
