Bengals very important player announces his……..

This offseason, Cincinnati would be wise to extend Chase as soon as possible.
Cincinnati — This offseason, the Bengals have the opportunity to offer Ja’Marr Chase a contract extension, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.

A few weeks ago, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Detroit set a new record, and Michael Ginnitti of Spotrac has Chase almost matching that mark with an annual salary of $30 million on a three-year agreement.

“While much of the focus in Cincinnati has gone to Tee Higgins and his unsigned franchise tag, Chase (the reason Higgins has a tag and not an extension), has now been extension-eligible for four months,” wrote Ginnitti. “Will the Bengals follow Philly’s lead and rush to extend their main weapon this summer, or will they look to re-sign Ja’Marr the next offseason after balancing Chase’s value contract ($4.8M) versus Higgins’ $21.8M tag? At this point in time, waiting is a risky game. Chase intends to extend our system for three years at a cost of $90 million.”

Cincinnati ought to use every effort to extend Chase’s contract as quickly as feasible. He will undoubtedly be a pillar of support for the remainder of this decade and the team’s second most important player.

The sooner they close big transactions like this, the easier it will be to assemble the squad. For Chase, it’s the other way around, though. If his camp can extend this negotiation as long as possible while other players keep resetting his market, he will profit the most.
