Villa appear to have a clear path to signing Rogers, with the Irons out of the competition.

According to the Northern Echo, West Ham United are no longer in the running to sign Middlesbrough’s Morgan Rogers.

The Irons have been connected with several Championship players in recent years, and they were able to complete a deal for one this summer, with James Ward-Prowse joining from Southampton.

Rogers lacks Ward-Prowse’s top-level experience, but the former Manchester City star has seven goals and nine assists in 33 competitive appearances this season since leaving the Etihad Stadium in the summer.
He failed to impress during prior loan appearances at AFC Bournemouth and Blackpool.

However, the 21-year-old has managed to secure a permanent home and is now He’s thriving and could return to the Premier League soon.

Not only has Rogers thrived in the league, but he has also been a valuable asset in the EFL Cup, helping Boro reach the semi-finals against Chelsea.

He even managed to score against the Blues, but it was merely a consolation for Boro in the second leg at Stamford Bridge.

With Rogers only signing a long-term contract in the summer, the Teesside club has a strong negotiation position for him.

And they may not need to sell him because they made enough room on their salary bill for others to come in during the previous window by releasing many peripheral players and selling Chuba Akpom.

That has not stopped teams from showing an interest in Rogers.

The latest on Morgan Rogers amid ties with Aston Villa and West Ham.
According to the Northern Echo, West Ham and Boro have made contact, but David Moyes’ side is no longer interested in him.

It’s a different tale at Aston Villa.

They appear to be anxious to complete a deal, having bid around £15 million to bring Rogers to Villa Park.

Unai Emery’s side hopes to complete a deal for him before the deadline, but whether they can persuade Boro to sell one of their greatest players remains to be seen.

West May regret not signing. Morgan Rogers.

The Irons could now lose out to Villa, who would profit greatly from having Rogers.

He may not become an important first-team player at Villa Park right away, but he surely has the capacity to function in the top division in the future.

His value may only rise if he continues to perform well in the second half of the season, therefore West Ham should sign him now if they intend to do so.

Moyes’ team might benefit from more inventiveness.

And, with several of their existing talents, such Jarrod Bowen, joining from the Championship, West Ham should be willing to take a chance on the Boro star, who has excelled for much of the season.
