Since leaving RB Leipzig for Chesea in the summer for £52 million ($66 million), Nkunku has only appeared in four games. He only made his preseason comeback last month after sustaining a knee injury, but he will now likely miss further time due to the injury.
The Blues are hoping that the former player for Paris Saint-Germain returns to action soon.
