‘Disappointed me so badly,’ says pundit as Star Chelsea’s player completely failed him.

So many of Chelsea's additions in the last 18 months have been let down.
So many of Chelsea's additions in the last 18 months have been let down.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Wesley Fofana have all been total disasters, while Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, and Marc Cucurella have all been unimpressive in their own right.

Scott Minto has been discussing some of Chelsea’s disappointing figures recently on the Premier League All Access Podcast, and he claims that the one player who has really let him down is Moises Caicedo, claiming that the Ecuadorian midfielder isn’t doing his job properly at the moment.

Caicedo has let me down.
Minto weighed in on the’strong’ midfielder.

“You look at Caicedo, and he’s the one who has disappointed me the most; he’s not doing his job.” Caicedo should be doing a better job, and his goal against Middlesborough is a prime example,” Minto added.
Letdown
It’s impossible to deny that Moises Caicedo has been a tremendous disappointment for Chelsea.

Caicedo’s £115 million fee would have led you to expect that he would have been a truly revolutionary signing for the Blues, but he’s just made their midfield worse.

He appears to be a shell of the player he was at Brighton, missing energy, composure, and drive at the moment, which may tell more about Chelsea than Caicedo.

There’s a clear trend developing here in which promising players appear to lose a lot of what makes them great the moment they arrive at Stamford Bridge.
Maybe it’s the climate, maybe it’s the long-term contracts, maybe it’s the coaching, but something needs to change soon at Chelsea because they’re looking at another mid-table finish after a dismal start.

Mauricio Pochettino must find a way to get Caicedo to play his best game again.
