Demi-Leigh Tebow couldn’t stop smiling when her husband, Tim Tebow, was asked about what the couple is looking forward to as 2023 comes to an end.
The former NFL player-turned-ESPN football analyst played coy while Demi-Leigh excitedly nudged him.
“Well, he’s being very humble,” the former Miss Universe 2017 told The Post in a joint interview with Price.com to promote how consumers can use eCommerce and shop for good this holiday season without breaking the bank.
Demi-Leigh was referring to Tebow not mentioning that he was just days away at the time from being inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame on Dec. 5 in Las Vegas as part of the Class of 2023.
It’s all part of a busy schedule for the former Heisman winner.
The 36-year-old has seemingly exhausted his dream of being a professional athlete after a two-year NFL career, a noteworthy run up the Mets’ minor-league system that ended at Triple-A and an attempted football return with the Jaguars in 2021 with old Florida coach Urban Meyer.
A marriage to Demi-Leigh, with the couple set to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in January.
“It’s appealing to me. It really is,” Tebow said. “I love the thought of mentoring young men. I love the thought of coaching. I really do. I think the reason that it would be hard for me to probably ever pull the trigger is coaching is way more than a full time job would ever be — and I love the other things that we get to do, especially our foundation.
“We’re in 88 countries around the world and trying to serve the world’s most vulnerable people, and I just knew I would have to stop doing so much of that — and that’s what I feel like is even more important of a calling than coaching. I love the thought of it, but I love what I get to do now, I think that would be the hardest thing to try to give up.”
Tim and Demi-Leigh met through Night to Shine, which is part of his non-profit Tim Tebow Foundation, in early 2018, and he confirmed they were dating in July of that same year.
The model didn’t know much about football at the time, but that’s not what brought them close.
“Well, I always say that when I first met Tim, I knew nothing about football, but it wasn’t what we had in common that drew us closer, but what we had in purpose,” Demi-Leigh said.
“It’s really great that we, as a married couple, get to live our life with purpose and have impact along the way, and to be able to do that together is being a big part of the foundation of our relationship.”
The couple tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town, South Africa in 2020 — one year after the Florida Gator great proposed to the former Miss Universe 2017 at his family’s farm in Florida on Jan. 20, 2019.
“We definitely love getting to celebrate, it’s going to be fun,” Tebow and Demi-Leigh said.
That won’t be the only milestone the couple will celebrate in January.
“On that same day [as our anniversary] is also one of our three dogs’ birthday,” Tebow, 36, said. “The next day is another one of their birthdays, and then two days after that is another one of their birthdays.”
Paris, a Dalmatian is “named after our wedding venue, which was La Paris in South Africa,” Demi-Leigh said.
