Last night might have been a historic moment for Jurgen Klopp and his team. The victory over Fulham may have signalled the beginning of a new era. After all, Klopp unveiled Liverpool 2.0 last summer. And that triumph was won with a limited number of fresh faces, all of whom are expected to be part of this upcoming update.
On top of that, for Klopp, this meant qualifying for another trip at Wembley. Another final. On top of all the achievements and accolades he has brought to Anfield, this demonstrated that his thirst for success has not yet dried out.
The Liverpool manager is still determined to win more honours and accolades for the club. Liverpool’s continued fighting on all four fronts is further evidence of this. But the fact that Klopp may be poised to do something he has never done before is simply another indication of his unwavering determination.
Despite having won everything he could at Liverpool thus far. Klopp has never won the same trophy twice. He may be on his way to accomplishing this for the first time after defeating Fulham last night.
Chelsea will face Liverpool in the League Cup Final. It’s a familiar foe. Klopp has previously defeated this opponent in three finals in recent years. All of those finals culminated in Penalty shootouts are presumably something the Liverpool manager wants to avoid this time.
