An additional setback for Liverpool has been dealt to manager Jurgen Klopp before of their FA Cup match against Arsenal. The number of absences for the trip to Emirates Stadium has reached double figures due to recent injuries and players away on international duty, raising concerns in every part of the pitch.

The biggest blow to the Reds is that Mohamed Salah, who is playing for Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations for the next few weeks, is not available.

Wataru Endo, who plays midfield for Japan, is also going to an international competition in order to be ready for the Asia Cup.

While Dominik Szoboszlai’s 4-2 victory over Newcastle marked his final game for several weeks, he is expected to miss a similar amount of time due to a hamstring injury. It’s a wound. As cited by the Liverpool Echo, Klopp stated on Friday morning, “Muscle, hamstring.”

We’ll have to observe. Dom is optimistic; he’s not in much pain, but there’s no hope for Sunday. Not on Wednesday, then. After that, we’ll see. Hopefully, he will return after that, but we’re not sure. Andy Robertson, who was replaced at the back by Kostas Tsimikas after the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in December, is still sidelined due to a shoulder issue.

Jurgen Klopp was unintentionally knocked out after the Greece international and Bukayo Saka collided. Tsimikas appeared to break his collarbone, but he has already resumed training. In spite of this, Liverpool decided to bring back Owen Beck from his Dundee loan to offer some left-back insurance.

It would be expected, given the choice, that he would sit on the bench at Emirates Stadium, but that is not the case. According to The Athletic, Beck took a one-match suspension from Scotland with him, thus he won’t be able to play at the Emirates.

Given that the teenage defender received two yellow cards in July—a ban that he has not yet served—and that Dundee did not participate in the competition afterward, the suspension is very unexpected.

The game will probably be determined by Arsenal’s wide players, with Gabriel Martinelli having the opportunity to take advantage of space provided by Trent Alexander-Arnold when he moves centrally. Joe Gomez is anticipated to start at full-back and will therefore be up against Bukayo Saka.
