The advisors of Kylian Mbappe, who is linked to Liverpool, are rumoured to have been interested in the Premier League after being ‘unimpressed’ by Real Madrid’s efforts to entice him away from Paris Saint-Germain.
For some seasons now, Madrid and PSG have been engaged in a heated competition for the 25-year-old’s talents. Twice, the La Liga and the French superstar had reached an agreement, but the deals fell through.
At the end of the current campaign, Mbappe’s contract with the Ligue 1 winners expires. Due to his unclear future, PSG is considering another contract extension, while Madrid has been hatching a scheme to sign him for free.
Furthermore, Mbappe has reportedly informed friends that the big clubs in La Liga won’t decide his destiny for him, according to Duncan Castle of The Times. Mbappe’s mother, agent, and advisor Fayza Lamari are reportedly evaluating Premier League alternatives for their son.
The 25-year-old is a fan of Liverpool and has shown his admiration for boss Jurgen Klopp in the past. Before Mbappe signed a lucrative extension in the French capital in 2022, “talks” were reportedly undertaken between the Reds and the player during his time at AS Monaco.
Senior sources at the Parc des Princes are reportedly at ease regarding the player’s future, but the article also asserts that PSG is certain they won’t lose the World Cup champion to Liverpool.
The Saudi Pro League has shown a great deal of interest in the Reds’ star player Mohamed Salah, so it’s possible that they may soon be searching for a replacement. Senior Anfield executives turned down an enticing verbal offer from Al-Ittihad in the summer that may have cost up to £150 million.
Mbappe hasn’t managed to avoid scrutiny however, as rumours of a potential transfer to Al-Hilal were also swirling around him. In spite of the continuous speculation over his future, he rejected it after PSG defeated Toulouse FC 2-0 in the Trophée des Champions.
“Not at all. I have a tonne of motivation for this year. It is of utmost importance. We have titles to pursue, as I mentioned, and we have already taken one. I haven’t decided what to do after that yet. I haven’t decided,” he declared.
Last night, Mbappe scored three goals in as many club outings to bring his goal total for the season to twenty-five goals. PSG defeated Revel, a French sixth-tier team, 9-0 in the French Cup.
After that game, though, Mbappe will reportedly be starting at the Bernabeu the following season, according to sources from the French publication Foot Mercato.
They claim that Mbappe and Real Madrid have come to an understanding as the latter try to lead the former into yet another era of dominance both at home and throughout Europe.
The France international was permitted to meet with foreign teams on January 1st in order to finalise a pre-contract arrangement. And when his contract ends in the summer, Mbappe will join Real Madrid on a free transfer, assuming the most recent claim is accurate.
