In terms of the transfer market, Manchester United has reduced rather than increased its roster size this month.

Manchester United not only sent players out on loan, but they also cancelled one, ending Sergio Reguilon’s loan.

Sergio Reguilon was brought in from Tottenham Hotspur as a last-minute injury replacement on deadline day. He has since signed another loan deal with Brentford.

And, when Reguilon embarks on a new adventure, he remains focused on Manchester United.
Manchester United’s players were photographed returning to Carrington early this week after a brief holiday break. Preparations are on for an FA Cup match against Newport County.

One of the reasons Manchester United has been slow to move in this transfer window is that important players are expected to return from injury.

Lisandro Martinez, for example, made his return to action as a substitute in Manchester United’s recent victory over Tottenham.

Martinez was photographed back in training this week, much to Sergio Reguilon’s pleasure.

Martinez made an impression on Reguilon.
Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon only played two games together for Manchester United in early September, and the Argentina international was far from his best as he battled a foot injury that necessitated surgery.

Martinez certainly made an effect on Reguilon, as ‘The Butcher’ routinely does. Reguilon, who previously played at Brentford, has become a fan like us, eager to witness how a completely healthy Lisandro Martinez would bolster this Manchester United team once more.
