Crystal Kung Minkoff and her family recently experienced an unfortunate event while they were away on spring break.

Earlier in the month, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills mom embarked on a trip to Japan with her husband, Rob Minkoff, and their two kids, Max and Zoe. Although the Minkoff family appeared to be having the time of their lives during their vacation as evidenced by their social media posts, Crystal and Rob received word that their Los Angeles home was almost burglarized by intruders during their trip.

During her recent appearance on Jeff Lewis’ show, Jeff Lewis LiveCrystal opened up about her family’s home almost being robbed while they were out of town.

“What happened?” Jeff asked Crystal, to which she replied, “I posted and they tried to break-in, and my house sitters, my friends, had to deal with it face to face.”

Crystal immediately reassured that everyone was “ok” and nothing had been stolen since the robbers ran away when they encountered her friends. While no serious damage took place, Crystal told Jeff that she and Rob are increasing their security on their property to prevent that situation from occurring again.

“We’re going heavy duty this week,” she admitted.

On April 15, Crystal announced that she would be exiting RHOBH ahead of Season 14 of the series. She confirmed the news on social media, where she reflected on her three-year stint on the show.

In the Instagram video, she said, “I just wanted to share the news that I will not be coming back to film Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It’s very bittersweet. Never did I think I would have been asked to do the show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons. Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor.”

Crystal continued to highlight her experience as “being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills” before mentioning that it “was a lot of weight on my shoulders. I have since just have really understood the magnitude of what that meant for people.”

Crystal’s departure announcement took many fans by surprise, and they showed their support and love by filling in the comment section. Among all the comments, Crystal’s husband, Rob, left one that stood out.

He wrote: “And I was really planning to ‘bring it’ this season.” The witty statement garnered over 6,000 likes and 100 additional comments.
