Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been recognized for his outstanding performance against the New England Patriots. He has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career.

In Sunday’s win, Tagovailoa completed 29 of 40 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns, earning a 128.9 passer rating. His performance led the Dolphins to their third straight win and was one of the best of his career.

Tagovailoa has been consistent and accurate all season, leading the NFL with a 73.3 completion percentage. He has also thrown for 1,760 yards, 13 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.

This is Tagovailoa’s third AFC Offensive Player of the Week award and Miami’s first since Raheem Mostert earned it in Week 6 of the 2023 season. Tagovailoa is one of only three players in the league to earn a Player of the Week award in each of the last three seasons.

Tagovailoa’s performance against the Patriots was one of the best of his career. He connected with eight different pass catchers and led the Dolphins to 24 points in the second quarter, tied for the second-most points scored by a team in a quarter this season.

Tagovailoa currently leads the NFL in completion percentage and ranks fifth in passer rating. He has been playing at an elite level all season and continues to impress.

The Dolphins’ success can be attributed to Tagovailoa’s outstanding play. He has led the team to three straight wins and has been named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career.
